About this role
This role owns the physical building. You will manage preventive maintenance, life-safety compliance, and the vendors who keep our systems running, while staying responsive to the day-to-day requests that make residents comfortable.
You will work closely with administration on capital projects, regulatory inspections, and emergency preparedness.
What you'll do
- Manage preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems
- Maintain life-safety documentation and readiness for state and federal inspections
- Oversee maintenance staff, schedules, and outside vendors
- Respond to resident and staff work orders promptly
- Maintain the facility's emergency preparedness plan and conduct required drills
- Manage the maintenance budget and capital project planning
What we're looking for
- Experience in facilities or plant maintenance, ideally in healthcare or long-term care
- Working knowledge of life-safety code and healthcare facility regulations
- Hands-on skill across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair
- Supervisory experience and comfort managing vendor relationships
- Valid driver's license
